Crib Safety Classes Overview

Who It's For

This program is open to Durham County families with infants from birth to six months old who do not have a safe place for their baby to sleep.

Families are referred to the program through Welcome Baby’s partnering organizations and must attend a short educational session before receiving their Pack ’n Play.

Why It Matters

Unsafe sleep environments are one of the leading causes of preventable infant deaths. This program gives parents practical tools and the confidence to follow safe sleep guidelines every night.

By combining education with access to safe equipment, Welcome Baby helps ensure that every baby in Durham has a safe place to rest and grow.
