Volunteer

Who Can Volunteer?
  • Anyone can volunteer, whether they are an individual or a group.

  • Welcome Baby encourages both Spanish and non-Spanish speakers to volunteer, as there is a need for both.

Volunteer Opportunities:

Giving Closet Assistant: 

Helps with sorting and hanging donated clothing and other items for the week. This is for our Giving Closet during which items are distributed free of charge to families. Individuals and group slots are available. Groups can come in for a one-time workday or on a regular basis.

  • Schedule is flexible, usually Monday through Thursday, 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m​.

 

Office Assistant:

Assists with tasks such as filing, entering data and conducting telephone satisfaction surveys with individuals who have participated in Welcome Baby programs. Other office-related duties. This opportunity is on an as-needed basis.

  • Monday through Thursday, 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Community Representative:

Conveys needs of communities to Welcome Baby staff and promotes the organization at events, such as local health fairs, on an as-needed basis.
