Privacy Policy

Welcome Baby is a program of Durham County Cooperative Extension. This policy explains what happens to information on our website, welcomebaby.org. We keep it short and plain on purpose. If you have a question, call us at 919-560-7150.

Information you choose to send us

Our class interest, support group and contact forms ask for your name, how to reach you (email, phone, address) and anything you choose to tell us. When you send a form, your answers are emailed to Welcome Baby staff so we can answer you and help you sign up for classes and services.

  • We use your information only to respond to you and to provide Welcome Baby services.
  • We never sell your information or use it for advertising.
  • The website does not keep a copy of your form after it is emailed. The email is delivered through a secure email delivery service.

Information collected automatically

Like most websites, our hosting provider keeps standard technical records (such as IP address, browser type and the pages requested) to keep the site running and secure. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies, and we do not use analytics that follow you across other websites.

If you turn on the High contrast or Larger text buttons, that choice is saved only in your own browser so the site remembers it. It is not sent to us.

Other websites and services

Some buttons take you to other websites, such as our registration and volunteer forms (JotForm and Volgistics), the online donation page at NC State University, and our Facebook and Instagram pages. Those websites have their own privacy policies. The fonts on this site are provided by Google Fonts.

Public records

Welcome Baby is part of local government. Messages and forms sent to us may be public records under the North Carolina Public Records Law (Chapter 132 of the North Carolina General Statutes), unless the law protects them as confidential. Please do not send medical details or other sensitive information through the website. Call us instead.

Children

This website is for parents, caregivers, volunteers and community partners. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13 through the website.
